Marc Lasry is the Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Avenue Capital Group, a global alternative investment manager focused on specialty lending, distressed and undervalued debt and equity opportunities.  In 1995, Mr. Lasry formed Avenue with his sister, Sonia Gardner, with less than $10 million in capital from friends and family.  Today, Avenue is one of the largest distressed debt investors globally, managing assets of approximately $13 billion.  Avenue is headquartered in New York, with three offices in Europe, four offices in Asia, offices in Silicon Valley and Abu Dhabi, and over 175 employees worldwide. Mr. Lasry is known as a pioneer in distressed investing which has been the focus of his professional career for over 39 years.

Ian Brown-Christenson serves as Senior Vice President – Investment Strategies at CAZ Investments. He facilitates the ability of outside investors including family offices, registered investment advisors, and institutions to co-invest with the firm and our principals & shareholders. Ian has almost a decade of investment management experience, including significant experience in wealth management and business development. Most recently, he served as Assistant Market Head for UBS Private Wealth Management in New York City where he worked closely with Private Wealth Advisors and their high net worth and family office clients. Ian graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University with a B.S. in Finance while also serving his community as an Emergency Medical Technician in the Greater New York City area. He earned his Certificate in Financial Planning from New York University in 2014 and received the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation in 2015. Ian is a lifelong resident of the New York City area and is a Greensward Council member of the Central Park Conservancy in Manhattan.

Lamar Cardinez is a Principal at Blue Owl and member of the GP Strategic Capital Investment Team. In his role, he focuses on evaluating investment opportunities, underwriting transactions and capital raising for Blue Owl HomeCourt Partners Fund. Before joining Blue Owl, Lamar was an Investment Banking Associate at Guggenheim Securities. Prior to that, Lamar was a member of the National Football League’s Junior Rotational Program where he worked in various media and business development roles. Lamar received a BS in Business Administration from Northeastern University, where he graduated with honors and received an MBA from Cornell’s Johnson School of Business.
