Dr. Lev Borodovsky is a founding team member and the Chief Risk Officer of asset management firm Star Mountain Capital, an asset management firm focused exclusively on the large and fragmented U.S. lower middle market. He is also the author of The Daily Shot (TheDailyShot.com), a graphical newsletter for financial industry professionals interested in an unbiased visual overview of global macro currents. He has more than 30 years of experience in financial risk management, covering a broad array of markets and asset classes. Prior to starting Star Mountain Capital, he was the Chief Risk Officer and Managing Director of the GSO/Blackstone credit platform. And before that he was Head of Risk Management for the Alternative Capital Division at Credit Suisse. He is the co-founder of the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP) and is also the co-author of the FRM Certification Program and the Professional Handbook of Financial Risk Management.
Robert Akeson is Managing Director, Investment Banking at Riverside Management Group, where he focuses on fintech and asset management companies. Previously, he was Chief Operating Officer and Co-Head of Prime Brokerage at Mirae Asset Securities (USA). He has extensive experience managing prime brokerage, capital introduction, agency execution and research distribution businesses. He has served as a member of the G.P. of a hedge fund and had advisory board experience with small money management firms. His background includes leadership positions with Neuberger Berman, Morgan Stanley, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Financial Services and ADP BISG.
