A conversation with Daniel Oliver, the founder and managing member of Myrmikan Capital, about the value of investing in gold, which has seen its value skyrocket since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Daniel Oliver is the founder of Myrmikan Capital, LLC, which is active in the junior gold and silver nano-cap mining sector. Previously, he worked for Bearing Capital, LLC, a private equity firm in Buenos Aires focused on Latin American commodities investments, and practiced law in the corporate division of Simpson Thacher & Bartlett, LLP. In addition, he has co-founded two venture companies and is completing a book on the history of credit bubbles. He is also a director of Vangold Mining Corp., president of the Committee for Monetary Research & Education and speaks frequently on the topics of gold, banking, and credit bubbles. Oliver received his BA from Vanderbilt University, graduated from Columbia Law School and obtained an MBA from INSEAD.
