NYAIR Episode 39 – The U.K. in the Transatlantic Economy

Edward Price, the UK Government’s Head of Financial Sector and Economic Policy, discusses the United Kingdom -from its position as one of the world’s leading economic centers, to challenges it faces such as low economic growth and uncertainty regarding the impact of Brexit.

As the UK Government’s Head of Financial Sector and Economic Policy -a US-wide role in the Department for International Trade (DIT) based in the British Consulate-General New York, Price has significant first-hand experience of European and British policymaking, and of how both interact with the US and worldwide economies at large. Prior to his current position he worked in the European Parliament, the House of Commons, and the UK’s financial services industry group. He is also an adjunct professor at New York University. Price was educated at the London School of Economics, holds two master’s degrees and has published on financial regulation and economic policy.
