Common Denominator is a charity in New York that teaches math to children. The tutors are all volunteers who work at large corporations in Manhattan and take time to go and teach math to children during their lunch hour. While the Organization has existed since 2002, it is now working harder than ever given the post-pandemic needs in the field of education among the lowest-income communities in Manhattan.

As part of Common Denominator’s effort to raise funds and to deepen the level of service it provides, it is organizing its second annual gala, to take place on June 7th in Midtown Manhattan. Bill Ackman, CEO and Founder of Pershing Square, will interview journalist and acclaimed author William D. Cohan on that occasion. William D. Cohan has written numerous books, including The Last Tycoons, winner of the 2007 FT Goldman Sachs Book of the Year Award, and, more recently, Power Failure, covering the rise and fall of iconic American company General Electric. Please come and attend the gala, or consider becoming a tutor!
