The mission of HEAF is to transform the lives of underserved young people, beginning in middle school and continuing in college and beyond, through a youth development approach that includes rigorous year-round academic enrichment, social and cultural exposure, and constant individual attention. HEAF provides an extended continuum of educational and youth development and leadership opportunities to high-potential, underserved students throughout the city. HEAF’s goal is to help students develop the intellectual curiosity, academic ability, social values, and personal resilience they need to ensure success in school, career, and life.
