James “Jim” De Alto is Managing Director and Head of Prime Brokerage and Correspondent Clearing Services at Mirae Asset Securities (USA). He is responsible for all aspects of client facing activities including new business, custody, clearing, securities financing and capital introduction. James is a highly respected industry veteran with more than 30 years of financial services experience with leading investment firms including ICBC Financial Services, JPMorgan Securities, Citi, Bank of America Securities, Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs, and he is considered an expert in clearing, custody and securities financing. He has been involved with starting clearing businesses since very early on in his career. In fact, he built the client service team for Morgan Stanley’s clearing business, was a founding member of Bank of America Securities’ broker dealer clearing business and most recently joined Mirae Asset Securities (USA) to build prime brokerage and correspondent clearing.
