Congressional representatives Claudia Tenney (R, NY) and Thomas Suozzi (D, NY) address some of most pressing issues facing the country -from the American Health Care Act, to the Trump Administration’s budget proposal, and what some of these issues could potentially mean for the alternative investment industry.
Claudia Tenney is a freshman Congresswoman serving New York’s 22nd district -a seat she secured after winning one of the most expensive races in the country. As a freshman member of the 115th Congress, she was selected to serve on the House Financial Services Committee. Prior to being elected to Congress, Tenney served as a member of the New York State Assembly. She is also an experienced attorney and a small business owner.
Thomas Suozzi, who is also a freshman Congressman, represents New York’s 3rd district. He serves on the House Foreign Affairs Committee, the House Armed Services Committee, is Vice-Chair of the Problem Solvers Caucus and Co-Chair of the Quiet Skies Caucus. Prior to being elected to Congress, Suozzi, who is also an experienced attorney and a CPA, served as mayor of his hometown, Glen Cove, NY from 1994-2001 and then as a Nassau County Executive from 2002-2009.
